Mughal Garam Masala ------------------- 1/2 cup (about 60) black or 1/3 cup (about 200) green cardamom pods 2 Cinammon sticks, 3 inches long 1 T whole cloves 1 T black peppercorns 1 1/2 t grated nutmeg (optional) Remove seed from cardamom pods, break up cinammon sticks and grind all together in a spice grinder (you'll probably have to do it in batches if you use a little coffee grinder).
