Mulled Cider ------------ 2 quarts apple cider or juice 1 orange, sliced 1 lemon, sliced 2 Tbsp maple syrup or raw honey 4 sticks cinnamon 6 whole cloves 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. powdered ginger In large saucepan, combine all of the ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer the cider for 30-40 minutes. Strain and serve hot. Serves 16. From: Diane Abell in 3 Rivers Cookbook III |
