Trinidad Stuffed Breadfruit
If you have ever tasted breadfruit you will know that it can be served with almost any meat, but with beef it has a very special taste.1 cup ground beef
1 tbsp allspice
1 small onion, chopped
salt and black pepper to taste
2 tbsps. cooking oil
2 tbsps. tomato paste
1/4 cup water
1 breadfruit
1. Scoop out heart of breadfruit.
2. Cook ground beef with seasonings, onion and tomato paste.
3. Stuff breadfruit with mixture, replace stem and roast in hot oven 425°F
for 1/2 hour, then reduce heat to 350°F of for another half hour.
4. Test to see if the breadfruit is tender with fork or skewer.
